Single Camera Production

Camera Video Production 

This class will teach you everything you need to know to begin recording your program in the field. Students learn how to use RCTV’s Canon 605 video cameras, tripods, and microphones for a one-camera production. This course is required to sign out equipment. 

DSLR Video Production 

This class will teach you everything you need to know to add cinematic depth of field to your production. Students learn how to use RCTV’s Canon 5D DSLR cameras, tripods, and microphones for a one-camera production. This course is required to sign out equipment. 

Multi-Camera Production

Record and Sync Production

Learn basic camera and audio skills while using equipment for a remote one, two, or three-camera production. The class covers recording a production on multiple cameras to be edited together in post-production. We will provide you with ample hands-on time to test your newly acquired skills and gain the confidence to produce or crew a program. Great for talk shows, cooking shows, or events! Prerequisite requirement: Camera Video Production or DSLR Video Production.

Studio Production

Learn basic camera and audio skills while using equipment for a studio three-camera production. The class covers directing a three-camera production using our Tricaster switcher, as well as the basics of lighting and audio.  Prerequisite requirement: Camera Video Production or DSLR Video Production.

Editing

Adobe Premiere Basic

Students will receive hands-on training with Adobe Premiere video editing. Focus will be on learning the interface, basic tools, file management, and editing tips. Prerequisite requirement: Camera Video Production, DSLR Video Production, Record and Sync Production, or Studio Production. 

Adobe Premiere Advanced

Students will receive advanced training in Adobe Premiere video editing. Focus will be on learning the interface, basic tools, file management, and editing tips. Prerequisite requirement: Adobe Premiere Basic.

Slideshow Production 

Bring in your digital photos and learn how to create a slide show with music for your family memories. Learn how to export your project from Adobe Premiere to digital formats for use on YouTube, Vimeo, or other social media. Prerequisite requirement: Adobe Premiere Basic.

Adobe After Effects 

The industry-leading solution for creating sophisticated motion graphics and effects by blurring the line between 2-D and 3-D interfaces. This introductory class is designed for students new to the program who are interested in learning the basics of the interface and program capabilities in just a few short hours. By creating something you can take with you and add to any project, you’ll gain valuable experience.  Prerequisite requirement: Adobe Premiere Advanced.
