Two-Day Explore Adobe

Three-Day Photography

Wednesday, July 15-Friday, July 17

In this three-day workshop, you’ll learn the basics of photography including camera settings, depth of field, shot composition, and movement. We’ll be focusing on street photography and portrait photography. This class can be altered to fit the needs of intermediate and advanced photography students.

One-Week Video Production Workshop 

Monday, July 20-Friday, July 24

During this week long workshop, you will learn techniques that are necessary in video production.  Learn what it takes to properly script-write, direct, crew, act and edit your own unique television show or short film. Teachers will guide you thru programs such as: Celtx, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop, as well as, state-of-the-art camera equipment and even chroma-key to help you create a masterpiece. Viewing for Family and Friends on the final day at 4:30pm.

Screen Play-For Actors

3 week session: Monday, August 3-Friday, August 21 (No Weekends)  –  Cost: $525

2 week sessions: Monday, August 10-Friday, August 21 (No Weekends)  –  Cost: $375

Ages 10-17

In this three-week, collaborative workshop you will learn the skills it takes to perform for the big screen! You will study the screenplay, develop characters, shoot on location and so much more as you learn the skills to make films.  This workshop will have a minimum of two field trips that will happen away from RCTV, as well as, many off location filming opportunities.  Final Red Carpet, Movie Premiere will take place on Sunday, August 11th at RCTV Studios at 3:30pm.

Screen Play-For Crew

Cost: $200 for One Week, $300 for Two Weeks, $400 for Three weeks

Sign up for one, two or all three weeks! In this collaborative workshop, you will learn the skills it takes to create movies for the big screen! You will learn shot composition, lighting techniques, cinematography and so much more as you develop the skills to make films. This workshop will have a minimum of two field trips that will happen away from RCTV, as well as, many off location filming opportunities.  Final Red Carpet, Movie Premiere will take place on Sunday, August 23rd at RCTV Studios at 3:30pm.

Winter Classes 2020

Advanced Photography for Ages 10-17

Feb 24 – May 4 (No class 4/20: Make-Up, if needed, 5/11)
10 weeks
Cost: $145*

In this 10 week class, students will learn advanced composition and lighting throughout various units such as photojournalism, product, food, portrait, and sports photography. Students must have prior DSLR knowledge. This class culminates with a gallery viewing for family and friends!

Video Production for Ages 8-12

Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30pm
Feb 25 – May 5 (No class 4/21: Make-Up, if needed, 5/12)
10 weeks
Cost: $140*

In this 10-week course you will get hands on experience with video cameras and editing software while producing PSA’s, commercials and/or movie trailers.  

From Script to Screen for Ages 10-16

In this 10-week class students will first learn how to develop a script for TV or film and then take that script and turn it into a short film or TV episode. Students will learn script writing, camera composition and editing. This class culminates with a final viewing for family and friends!

Graphic Design for Ages 12-17

Thursdays, 6:00-7:00pm

Not able to take graphic design classes in school? This introduction to graphic design class may be a perfect place for you to begin! We’ll start with the basics like color, type, and shape. Then eventually build to full compositions of posters, invitations, and more!

Graphic Design for Adults

It’s never too late to learn graphic design! In this introduction to graphic design class, you’ll learn everything from the ground up. We’ll start with the basics like color, type, and shape. Then eventually build to full compositions of posters, invitations, and more! 

Membership Classes

RCTV offers on-going classes for all members in areas (but not limited to):

Photography

Concepts and practice of digital photography, including understanding and use of the camera, lenses, and other basic photographic equipment.

Studio Production

Use of all studio equipment, including camera operations, lighting, and audio, as well as control-room equipment, such as the studio switcher, audio mixer, and camera controls.

DSLR Training

Learn the principles and applicable skills of operating a DSLR camera for video production, and some techniques and strategies for shooting high definition video. 

Remote Camera Shoots

Through hands-on practice with a camera and tripod, you will learn how to the principal skills of shooting in the field, such as proper shot composition and audio recording using external microphones.

Editing

This editing class covers using the Adobe Premiere workspace, transitions, effects and filters, editing audio, exporting your work, and more.

Photoshop

Learn all of the skills you need to design your own graphics from start to finish.

Classes can be designed for 1-4 people and can work around your schedule. These classes are great for beginners through advanced and can be geared to an individual’s current skill set. They can be as long or as short as needed and meet for as many classes as necessary to gain the skills and knowledge you are looking for.
