I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all the members of RCTV. I have been involved with the studio since the early days. In fact, Phil Rushworth taught me the correct method for wrapping cables! Over the past six years I have volunteered for football games, School Committee, Board of Selectmen, and Town meetings.

This involvement with RCTV has taught me how important access television is to all communities, not only Reading.

Producing your own show can be fun and rewarding. I am proud to announce that one of our members, 15 year-old Michael Moran, is our newest award-winner! Michael won an award at the National Alliance for Community Media (ACM) conference held in Tampa, Florida in July. “Mike’s Animation Show #3” is his second major award in six months! Congratulations Michael from the entire RCTV Board of Directors.

Over the next few months your Board of Directors will work hard with Phil to look for ways to improve the quality of services to the membership and the community and establish goals for the future. That’s right, it’s your Board! We are working hard to make RCTV a fun and exciting place. If you have not signed up...what are you waiting for?
