National History Day Documentaries

Reading Community Television (RCTV) will begin airing the National History Day documentaries which have advanced in the contest over the last two years. The original program, which includes a selection of five of the recent year's advancing projects, also includes an interview with Mr. DeBenedictis, a judge at the RMHS level of the contest.

The projects, headed to the regional level of the contest this weekend, will be shown on March 10, 2005 on the Educational Channel 10 at 7:00 P.M. In the upcoming weeks, projects from the last two years which have made progress through to the National level will also be shown. All documentaries are researched, written and executed by students in Honors History courses at RMHS and are entered in the National History Day contest alongside different formats of the project, such as research papers, presentation boards and performance pieces.
